5 star Barca !!!!!!!!

It was a pleasure watching Barca thrash Real 5-0 in the first El Classico of the season in Nou Camp. The midfield trio of Xavi, Iniesta and Messi mesmerised the Barca truthfuls in what seemed to be the best total football display by Barca this season. Messi was worldclass and he totally outplayed his nemesis Ronaldo hands down.If only he had scored it would have been a perfect night for the barca maestro.Especially the diagonal through ball which he gave to Villa to score the fourth Barca goal was just amazing.Villa also had a wonderful El Classico debut with a brace, both created by Messi. At one point of time Barca had almost 75% possession which clearly shows how dominant they were.

I read an interesting blog about how Barca's formation was deadly against Real, some of them I have posted below.Guys with footballing knowledge will clearly understand and accept the things mentioned in here....
"It was always going to be an intriguing battle between the 4-2-3-1 of Real Madrid and Barcelona's 4-3-3. And in the end the 4-3-3 won hands down with change to spare.
If you have been reading this column regularly, you will have read that Barca this season have played Lionel Messi in a " false centre forward's " position and thus the tactics deployed by Pep Guardiola centred around this man. By dropping into a central midfield area, Messi made it a three of himself, Andres Iniesta and Xavi against a two of Sami Khedira and Xabi Alonso.
With no direct opponent to mark, the two Real Madrid centrebacks, Pepe and Ricardo stayed close and got drawn towards Khedira and Alonso. This was exploited by David Villa and Pedro then making runs inside their fullbacks and behind the two centrebacks who were stranded too high up the pitch.
The axis of Messi,Iniesta and Xavi repeatedly pulled this ploy and Real Madrid fans were left wondering if their team was deploying the offside trap as a tactic or were desperately hoping someone from the Barcelona team would get caught offside.
The Barca backline held their positions with only the occasional forward runs from fullbacks Eric Abidal and Dani Alves. This gave them the advantage of outnumbering the front three of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and the bumbling Angel di Maria.
With Sergi Busquets tracking Mesut Ozil, Real Madrid created almost nothing the whole match.
As Jose Mourinho tried to change it at halftime by bringing on Lassana Diarra to try to quell the trio of Messi, Iniesta and Xavi, the now free Busquets made it a four versus three again giving the advantage to Barca."

With Barca showing total dominance in the first El CLassico, wots in store for the next. Really wish Barca to thrash Real again in Barnabau.

Gunners!!!!! (without gun powder)

Another pathetic display by the gunners and another chance lost, to go to the top of the table. Loosing a match leading by 2-0 in the first half is just not acceptable at this level of the game. Especially when it's against Spurs, is a crime to lose in emirates with such poor performance. Arsenal always looks edgy just after the break and it happened so many times before that they tend to concede a goal when they are in a very good position to seal the game off. They just loose the momentum right after conceding a goal and I would never ever say that they are very good in comebacks. I hate to say this, but credit should go to Spurs who managed to rip arsenal apart with their attacking play.Bale is just amazing, another great performance by the flying winger.I really doubt that he might be playing with Spurs the coming season with such consistent great performances.

I had to talk about two things which really pissed me off while watching the game

1. "Wot the fuck was Fabregas thinking???!!!!!" - to get away easily after blocking the shot with your hand when it is high over your head. It's so disgusting to see players like Fabregas do such insanely stupid mistakes.I strongly believe Fab is the heart of Arsenal team and he creates and holds the entire midfield. But conceding a penalty in such a position is not happening Fab.

2. I had a fight with Barista store manager. Oh yes, we were watching the match in Barista (Garuda Mall) and when Spurs scored the 3rd goal the waiter just came in and changed the channel. I requested him to change it to ESPN again and he said the manager has told to change it. I straight away went and asked that guy wots the problem with playing ESPN in here. He just said that they are not supposed to play ESPN in their shop. Can you believe that ??!!!!! I was so disappointed to see Arsenal give away the lead and immediately after that, this happens. This is just like, "you're in a knee deep of shit and someone puts a another load of shit on ur head". WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was such a disappointing and pathetic evening and I just wanna say "!##!@ U Arsenal(for once) and !@#!# U Barista store manager".

My Best Top 20 movies

I usually check IMDB site on a regular basis to get movie updates and also to kill boredom at office. So when I checked it last week, all I saw was 20th year celebration of the site and each of the editors have posted their top best 20 movies list. So I just thought why shouldn't I list out my best top 20 movies. So fellas, here is my list....
I have not numbered the list since I didn't get much time to think about it. So no arguments on the order in which I have listed.

Saving Private Ryan
The best war movie I have ever watched. The cast was perfect and a stunning performance by Tom Hanks. Speilberg showed the world the real war scenes.

Schindler’s List
I actually got this movie copied it to my external hard disk. But somehow the last 40 mins of the movie got stuck and I just couldn’t let it go. I ran to the CD store and got the DVD and I was even ready to give in my mobile as deposit since I was new to that CD guy. Watched the complete movie and I just couldn’t stop tears running through my face when Schindler says looking at his car “ I could have saved 4 more” speechless!!!!!!!!.

The Godfather
What do I have to say about it???? A total classic movie….

The Prestige
Magic, Rivalry, Obsession, Twists at it’s best. Just loved the flow of the movie, I had to watch it twice really to get a grasp on the fast paced editing.

The Dark Knight
Joker, Joker, Joker …. such a stunning performance by Heath Ledger. You could watch it n times just for his performance.

Blood Diamond
Loved it for Leo’s acting and his accent in the movie. He showed it to the world how versatile he is in acting and choosing the roles.

The Departed
Stunning performances by Matt Damon and Leo. Totally unpredictable scenes, I still remember the reaction I got when Leo gets shot in the lift. I literally shouted “shit!!!!!!!!! Wot jus happened” in the movie hall. My friend had to calm me down after that scene.

The Usual Suspects
This was one movie which I wanted to see for a very long time. I totally agree with the other reviewers, that it is one of the best twisted endings that I have ever seen.

Juno
Ellen Page rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally fell in love with her after watching this movie. How could you ever forget the casual dialogues, fittingly Diablo Cody won the Oscar too.

Saw
This is one of the most underrated movies that I have ever seen. This along with usual suspects tops the list of best endings for me. I literally stopped talking after seeing the guy getting up at the end of the movie.

Predator
You might be wondering WTF!!!! But I really got shit scared after watching this movie when I was a kid. I had the worst nightmares after this and it affected me for a very long time. So this is a definite YES in my list.

Inglorious Bastards
History has gone for a toss , forgot about history and you just love the typical Tarantino movie. Christoph Waltz rocks in the movie, also really liked the French girl.

Reservoir Dogs
6 characters, 1 garage, 2 hours, rocking movie – only Tarantino could have pulled off such a classic movie.

The Hangover
We had a blast watching this movie. I have never laughed so much watching a movie, just loved the Tyson and the tiger part.

The Matrix
One movie I can watch over and over without getting bored. Technology at its best, Neo and Morpheus lives in the movie history for ever.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
No words to explain the grandeur showed in this movie. Really liked the first part better than the rest.

Ice Age
Best animation movie for me. Sid rocks and who could ever forget Scrat and the nut J. Me and friends watched it every day during our final year project days in college. We start the day planning about reading and coding, but invariably we end up watching this movie and sleeping :) :) (everyday!!!!).

Terminator 2
Arnold as terminator, do I have to say anything more. Stunning graphic scenes, hardcore action and Hollywood at it's best.

WALL-E
Another masterpiece from Pixar studios. I just can't imagine how they could ever think of such a beautiful robotic love story. I heard from one of my old colleague that Eva was designed by the same guy who designed the first iPod.

No country for Old Men
Javier Bardem lived as a pschycopath in this movie. I don't think any other movie has shown killing people with a gas cylinder.

Hope you agree with few of the movies in the list.

City and Gunners march on....

Man City Vs Blackpool - This is definitely the match of the week. Stunning goals from ever so working hard Tevez and a classic from Silva wrapped up the match for City. Not so before the threatening Blackpool, who eventually scored 2 goals. Though I don't like Man City (United I hate even more) they really deserved the win, Tevez as always ran his heart out and it really paid off. I really liked Silva's goal, this is a striker's dream goal with two fantastic fakes and a beautiful curler.City's defense also should get credit for their awesome tackles and blocking all the through balls. City's big spending finally getting paid off, they deservedly placed in 2nd place just 2 points behind Chelsea.Though they are above Gunners, I believe Arsenal will come strong in the coming weeks.

Finally Arsenal getting all the 3 points much for the happiness of all the fans.Though I couldn't watch the match because of the stupid cable operators who just gives one channel on the weekend. I ended up watching ManU vs WBA in ESPN rather than Arsenal's match in Star Sports.Anyways it has been a nice weekend for all Arsenal fans since they have gained points on both ManU and Chelsea.Wish they continue the winning form and I believe they will get stronger with the return of Fabregas.

Oh I forgot to mention the pathetic situation in which Liverpool is in. It's really sad to see them in the relegation zone, with the likes of Torres and Gerrard being in the team. I really hope they can improve on their current form and get settled soon on and off the field.

Back to blogs

It's been a long time since I wrote anything, may be I was totally held up or got so bored with these stupid blogs that I write. But for the past few days I have been craving to write the daily happenings and store it somewhere. Now that I am totally jobless (meaning not much work in office) and bloody damn bored why not start writing the same old blogs :).

Here I am starting from scratch again, hopefully I can keep writing until I get bored again.

Comeback kids of F1 !!!!!

Three or Four months back Honda Racing almost pulled out of F1 racing due to financial crisis. But it was rescued by the team led by the technical head of Honda Racing "Ross Brawn" (the same man who helped Schumi win 7 titles, 2 with Benetton and 5 with Ferrari). This was the first race for the newly formed team with the new name "Brawn GP".But no one expected them to perform so strongly right from the qualifying till the finish. Its just amazing to see how a team which almost pulled out, comeback so strongly to win the first race of the season. The icing on the cake was the first and second place finishes.I felt really happy for the newly formed team and for the drivers who almost lost their jobs 3 months back.

The last two seasons were very close but it is always a known fact that either Ferrari or McLaren will win the title. But this season is going to be even more thrilling as new teams are performing far better than the usual ones. This season is going to be another treat for the F1 fans, with the raise of Brawn power.
